- New for 2018: The program fee covers two long weekend travels to Xi'an and Beijing (roundtrip airfare, hotel, and admission tickets).
International airfare and tuition are not included in the program fee, neither are expenses for food and personal travel.
How do I pay program fees?
Program fees are payable through OSCAR. The program fee for 2018 is $4,495.
Program Fee Payment Schedule 2018
A $500 deposit is due at the time of application and is applied to the overall program fee. The first program fee installment of $1,500 is due on February 23, 2018. The final program fee installment of $2,495 is due on March 21, 2018.
*Georgia Tech reserves the right to alter the program cost due to currency devaluation or other unforeseen circumstances.
If you wish to withdraw from the program, you must notify OIE via email. Withdrawals requested after February 15, 2018 and on/before March 21, 2018 will be eligible to receive up to 60% refund of the program fees paid or due up to that date (not including non-refundable deposit). After March 21, 2018, there will be no refund and you will be responsible for 100% of the program fee associated with the GT China Summer Program (except for tuition, which is refundable as specified in the Summer OSCAR).
The average cost of round trip economy class airfare is $1,500 - $1,700 and is in addition to tuition and program fee costs.
All students pay in-state tuition (see Bursar for rates). The summer 2018 tuition fee is tentatively $333.60/hr. Out-of-state students must pay in-state tuition plus a $250.00 matriculation fee. All students are required to pay the GT technology fee and the USG institutional fee. Tuition is due to the Bursar’s Office, per their deadlines.
Most financial aid and scholarships, including HOPE, Pell Grant, and Zell Miller, are applicable to GT study abroad programs.
