What does the program fee cover?

- Campus facilities usage

- Three group meals on the program
International airfare and tuition are not included in the program fee, neither are expenses for food and personal travel.
How do I pay program fees?
Program fees are payable through OSCAR.

- Early Bird Program Fee $4,400 (applications submitted by December 31, 2024)

- Regular Program Fee $4,900 (applications submitted after December 31, 2024)
Program Fees Payment Schedule 2025
- A non-refundable $500 deposit is due at the time of application and is applied to the overall program fee.
- The first program fee installment amount of $1,500 is due February 25, 2025.
- The final program fee installment of $2,900 is due March 25, 2025 (final program fee installment is $2,400 for those that have applied by December 31, 2024 – Early Bird applicants).
*Georgia Tech reserves the right to alter the program cost due to currency devaluation or other unforeseen circumstances.
Other Cost
Air Fare
Many flight options exist for 1-stop (or 2-stop) itinerary between Atlanta (ATL) and Hong Kong (HKG). Depending on when you purchase the airfare, you may expect to pay round trip economy class airfare between is $1,800 – $2,700.
Note that the airfare is in addition to tuition and program fee costs.
Tuition
The summer 2024 tuition fee is $341.93/hr. All students are required to pay the GT technology fee ($107).
Tuition is due to the Bursar’s Office, per their deadlines.

- Passport: $130
- Chinese Visa: $140 for U.S. Citizens. Visa fees for non-U.S. Citizens vary depending on number of entry (plus travel agency service fee if applicable)

Financial Aid
The China Summer Program is pleased to announce the availability of Coulter Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to support qualified U.S. citizen students to participate in this campus abroad program. Please see this page for details.
Most financial aid and scholarships, including HOPE, Pell Grant, and Zell Miller, are applicable to GT study/ campus abroad programs. For details on how aid applies for summer program, please visit Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.

Cancellation Policy
If you wish to withdraw from the program, you must notify OIE and the CSP program manager via email. Withdrawals requested after February 1, 2025 and on/before March 25, 2025 will be eligible to receive up to 60% refund of the program fees paid or due up to that date (not including non-refundable deposit).
After March 25, 2025, there will be no refund and you will be responsible for 100% of the program fee associated with the GT China Summer Program (except for tuition, which is refundable as specified in the Summer OSCAR).
