What does the program fee cover?

International airfare and tuition are not included in the program fee, neither are expenses for food and personal travel.
How do I pay program fees?
Program fees are payable through OSCAR.
Early Bird Program Fee (complete your application by December 30th): $3,955. (Subject to Change in 2022)
Applications completed after December 30th will pay: $4,495. (Subject to Change in 2022)
Program Fee Payment Schedule 2020 (Subject to Change in 2022)
A $500 deposit is due at the time of application and is applied to the overall program fee. The first program fee installment amount of $1,500 is due February 25, 2020. The final program fee installment of $2,495 is due March 25, 2020.
*Georgia Tech reserves the right to alter the program cost due to currency devaluation or other unforeseen circumstances.
If you wish to withdraw from the program, you must notify OIE via email. Withdrawals requested after February 15, 2020 and on/before March 25, 2020 will be eligible to receive up to 60% refund of the program fees paid or due up to that date (not including non-refundable deposit). After March 25, 2020, there will be no refund and you will be responsible for 100% of the program fee associated with the GT China Summer Program (except for tuition, which is refundable as specified in the Summer OSCAR).
The average cost of round trip economy class airfare is $1,500 - $1,700 and is in addition to tuition and program fee costs.
All students pay in-state tuition (see Bursar for rates). The summer 2020 tuition fee is $341.93/hr. All students are required to pay the GT technology fee and the USG institutional fee ($651). Tuition is due to the Bursar’s Office, per their deadlines.
Most financial aid and scholarships, including HOPE, Pell Grant, and Zell Miller, are applicable to GT study abroad programs.
